Though we follow a pretty standard Joomla Implementation process, we keep refining it based on the latest updates and happenings out there. This article describes the process we follow while we do CMS Implementation.
We first discuss with the you, the customer, regarding the CMS you are looking for. Through discussions we figure out your "real" CMS need and identify the right product for you. It could be Joomla, Drupal, LifeRay or Alfresco. As of now this is the list of CMS we work with. We convince you as to why a particular CMS is selected by describing the nuances of each of these CMS. We will also give you examples of how each of these CMS are used. We then work with you in identifying the design/template that you would like to have for your portal. Vertizone is a member of several template clubs that bring out brand new templates every month. We will be able to show you atleast 10 of the latest templates that are out there and help you select the template. We will deploy the template on our onlne server and organize the site with sample content after studying what content you have for the portal. Main menu, sub menu, article sections and categories. This will give you a good idea as to how the end result might be. You will have to provide us with all the content, multi media, etc. and tell us their placement. To help you clearly define your requirements and make some decisions, we show you options of displaying your content and multi media. Based on your requirement, we identify all the extensionn and plugins that we will need to develop the portal and install them. We upload all your content, configure extensions and plugins. Before we upload all the images, we reduce their file sizes to be in the range of 200 to 300 KB. In the process we lose some resolution but our page loads will be quite fast. If there are any video files, we suggest you look at hits to the video and decide if you need to go with streaming video hosting.
Towards the end of development, we will need access to your hositng server to deploy the portal. If you have a hosted server, we will need access to your Control Panel, ftp and MySQL. In case you have a dedicated server we will work with your system administrator to deploy it on the server.
